Cummins "B" Series Performance Camshafts
Helix Custom Cast New Camshafts, NOT a Regrind
Helix 2:  The Helix 2 is the best choice for just about all high performance applications.  Single turbocharger and twin turbocharger engines will both benefit.  Large reductions in maximum exhaust gas temperatures and smoke are immediately noticed.  Increased throttle response and pulling power.  Lift is higher and duration is extended on both the intake and exhaust lobes.  This cam is ground from a new blank casting and is not a regrind.  The H2 has the lobe ground for a mechanical fuel pump.   Bolted-on drive gears raise the durability of the system and allow for added piece of mind with high powered engine combinations.  Cam failuers and gear walk have been indicated in even stock Cummins engines using the P7100 pumps that used the press-on gear system.  Bolt-on gears fix this potential trouble in high performance applications.

RPM range of the Helix 2 is from idle to 4000 RPM

$488.00   Comes Complete with Cam, Billet Retainer, Bolt, and Keyway!  You use your stock gear that came with the engine.  No machine work or additional gear purchases and core charges needed.  F1 Diesel developed the retainer system that incorporates the stock gear and the truncated nose, marine style cam blank.  This is in contrast to other companies that machine the stock gear for clearance or have you pay a core charge for gear machining.  Our Billet Retainer is patent pending and has been reduced to practice.
Helix 3:  The H3 is under new developement for a better low end repsonse.
Formula One Diesel
Helix and Spartan SAE 8620 Billet Steel Camshafts
Turned from round bar stock billet of 8620 steel, the Helix Billets and Spartan Billets are the last word in strength and durability.  These steel camshafts were designed to take the most abuse of any camshaft produced.  High RPM, high loading from mechanical in-line injection pumps, and power levels over 1000 HP in any application will certainly indicate the use of steel billet camshafts.  The Helix and Spartan cams share the truncated nose, bolt on gear system design for the positive locking of the drive gear with our patent pending billet steel retainer system that incorporates your stock gear.

Helix 2 Billet:  The Helix Billet is used in blocks where bushings have been installed in all 7 bearing journal locations.

$747.50  Comes complete with Cam, Billet Gear Retainer, Bolt, and Keyway!

Spartan Billet Complete Kit:
The Spartan Billet is a "drop in" steel camshaft and does NOT require bushings be installed in the block for compatibility.  This saves machining costs and allows for a faster installation.  The engine will not require complete tear down and re-assembly.  Saving thousands of dollars and 40 or more hours of labor. The Spartan cam differs from the Billet Helix in several ways:  It features an engineered surface finish, heat treatment and specialized coating to eliminate wear of the cast iron Cummins block.  It will provide the highest degree of reliable use in a Cummins engine of any other camshaft manufactured by any company.

F1 Billet Bronze Camshaft Thrust Plate   $100.00

Milled from solid bearing quality bronze bar stock this retainer is designed to replace the OEM stamped steel thrust plate from Cummins.  They are used to reduce wear associated with the stock stamped steel thrust plate when using a 8620 billet steel camshaft.
F1 Spartan Processed Tappets   $299.50 ( set of 12 tappets )

Heat treated, surface engineered, and coated to withstand the abuse of higher valve spring pressures and running against the 8620 Billet Steel Helix and Spartan camshafts.  Also a great choice for the Helix cast iron cam above.

F1 Heavy ZDDP Oil Additive    $35.00   1 quart bottle

F1's Heavy ZDDP is blended for camshaft protection during break-in and for everyday use.  It contains ZDDP, ( zinc dialkyldithiophosphate ) a required extreme pressure additive for all flat tappet camshafts.  F1's Heavy ZDDP forms a thin ( 200 nanometer) coating on the metal surfaces of your new cam and tappets to stop the rubbing and scuffing of their interfaces.  It comes in 32 ounce, 1 quart bottles and is intened to replace 1 quart of the oil in the Cummins sump.  Most ZDDP additives on the market come in small quantity bottles of 4 or 8 ounces intened for gasoline engines with a 5 quart sump.  F1's Heavy ZDDP will bring the levels of needed protection up in the large 10-11 quart sump of the Cummins.  It is fully compatible with all synthetic and conventional oils of all base stock classes.  In addition to adding ZDDP it also enhances the film strength of any oil and reduces the engines oil temperatures.
